This article outlines how you can backup your CardExchange data if you do not currently have a system in place to back up your files.
Important Note: This software is not developed or supported by PPC. We take no responsibility for any harm it may cause to your PC.
To backup CardExchange it is very simple. There is only one folder you will need to backup. This is by default stored under:
WIndows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Profile]\My Documents\CardExchange\Data
Windows Vista or 7: C:\Users\[User Profle]\My Documents\CardExchange\Data
If you have specified another location for CardExchange to store its Data during the installation, then you will need to find out where that folder is.
Once you have found the Data folder, we can now begin the backup process.
Firstly, you will need to download and install FBACKUP
This software is freeware which means it does not cost anything to use.
When you first run the program you will see this screen:

Select "Backup: Create or run backup jobs"
You can now select to create a new backup job. For this particular exercise we will call the backup 'CardExchange'
You can now select where we want to save our backup to. We recommend an external drive or a network drive so that if you're local hard disk fails, then you will still have your data.

After you have selected where to save your data, you will select which data to backup. This is outlined above in this document.

Then Click Save > Save and Run
This will verify you have access to perform the backup actions and you can double-check that your data has been saved in its destination that you have selected.
From here, you can choose to schedule your backups at particular intervals, restore from a backup or create new backup profiles.
